I vividly remember a impromptu 2-a-side kickabout that occurred nearly sixty years ago when Tony and Joan called in to visit us in Cambridgeshire, where my father Barry (Tony's twin brother) had just been appointed head of a small village school. The school football field was somewhat smaller than a full-size pitch but that did nothing to reduce our amazement when Tony managed to kick the ball right from one goalmouth clean into the goal at the other end! He shot us a cheeky grin, shrugged his shoulders and said 'don't ask me to do that again!".
